Is my site suitable for News Content? May 5, 2009
A lot of the time when we approach new companies about investing in our news content service, we receieve responses such as “my industry is too specific or niche for regular content”. A lot of businesses think what on earth is there to write about. Well you would be suprised at just how much information there is on the web already. Simply do a Google search for the main term that represents your business and see how many matching results there are. I have just queried a random term “Garage Doors” and found over 24 million matching results!
One of the most successful content lead sites is the serviced office news sites…www.choregus.co.uk. You might think “how much can you possibly write about offices?” The answer is an awful lot – over 1,200 blog posts to date! Remember as well you don’t have to create new stories yourself, you can write about others have written, give your own slant / commentary or even review other sites. Whatever you think would be of interest to the user. In some cases it may be appropriate to only write once per day in certain niche industries, however because it a more specific industry, you will find it easier to make an impact online as there is fewer other resources.
