There’s a man about our office we like to call Milton. It’s not his name, but we’re under a silent agreement that it’s acceptable to call him Milton.
Milton (the artist formerly known as Adam) is a mysterious dichotomy of a man. Little is known about this legendary figure, although folklore abounds, so any new information that might happen to leak out comes crashing through the redsauce office like a cannonball.
It’s hard to express how I felt when I saw Milton’s sleeve sidle its way up to reveal a spreading tattoo the size of Cuba. I recalled the exhilarating frisson of astonishment and intrigue I felt when they opened the hatch in Lost or the creepy little man-child discovered Bruce Willis was a ghost.
