Changes pending at Wikipedia June 16, 2010 No Comments
Our favourite online encyclopaedia, Wikipedia, has surprised us this week by announcing plans to make it easier to edit some of its most controversial articles… ohh, er!
The website say it’s an “important step” in its editing process. Up to 2,000 articles will have their strict editing rules relaxed, with users being given the chance to make important changes to certain artciles. OK, so there’s still going to be some editorial process – the changes will be sent to senior editors for review but it still marks a major change for the site, which has in the past stood firm on its editing restrictions.
