Websites and Commitment Go Hand in Hand January 20, 2010
Back in the late 90′s, the average Joe didn’t have a website. So if you were starting out, your competition online was limited. Knocking up a 5 page site on a certain subject and just leaving it may have been enough to see good rankings in the early Google search engine. Now, in the early ‘teenies’, the web is so saturated that a small website in a moderately competitive industry just wont cut the mustard.
If you truly want your website to be noticed, you’re going to have to commit a great deal of time to it.
- Understand that your website will take time to mature, before attracting visitors en masse.
- Write at least one blog every day, the more the better.
- Consistently add pages to your site.
- Constantly improve the usability of your site, how can you service your visitors better?
- Strive to connect with your local web community. Only by doing this can you hope to attract visitors who have a common interest.
Commit to your website in the same way you would commit to looking after a pet. Treat it as if it were your baby. By doing this and writing good content, everyone at redsauce wholeheartedly believes that it is impossible for your website to not be a success.
Whatever the goal of your website, with commitment and patience, you will reap the fruits of your labour and you will have a website you can truly be proud of.
